Thesis

Twentieth century America encompassed all concepts of both advancement and tragedy. Discovery in technological fields blossomed alongside war and widespread economic depression. Spurred by these hardships, the exploration of quality meals for the average American was stunted for decades. Born during this age of bittersweet success, Julia Child furthered positive American growth through breaking culinary barriers within the home by bringing her knowledge of French cooking to the United States. Julia Child's revolutionary methods within the kitchen permanently altered the benchmark of American culinary habits within the traditional household
